SHOW ORGY
Longtime readers already know about BiteMe!’s longtime love affair with the Dystopia One (R.I.P.), so image our surprise when Nikki’s hubby (actually ex) Mike Bazini resurfaced as DJ Butterface. All we can say is…forget DJ AM or whoever the DJ of the month is this week. DJ Butterface knows how to deliver the smoking hot mixes that will keep the groove going into the wee hours of the morning. Be sure to check out samples of Butterface’s work at myspace.com/djbutterface.
Big “Thanks!” to Kelli at We the People records for inviting us to Gods and Heros Salon’s 1 year anniversary party. To say this event was a hit is an understatement. The place was packed with gorgeous guys and gals who freely partook in the drinks and free haircuts while enjoying some slammin’ music and the latest, hottest fashions. Oh, and in case you missed out on all the fun, you can still get a stylin’ haircut. The salon is located at 2991 Randolph Ave. Costa Mesa, CA. 92626
Kottak mixed things up a bit and celebrated the release of Therupy (Escapi Music) at The Corbin Bowl Lounge. The band features ex Kingdom Come & Scorpions drummer James Kottak, Dave Whiston, Rev Jones, and Tommy Lee’s little sister Athena. If you’re into loud heavy rock with a tinge of punk then be sure to pick up a copy of Therupy.
The BiteMe! Squad decided to try something different and attended the release party for Lonely Planet’s PBS show Roadtrip Nation held at CineSpace in Hollywood. Thanks to Wendi for the invite! The preview of the new season with the big green RV was intense – we particularly enjoyed the interview sequence with ?uestlove from A Tribe Called Quest. Be sure to check your local listings for Roadtrip Nation on PBS.
