The periodically British-sounding Philadelphia-based LaGuardia pleased a half-filled Troubadour as they opened the bill on the second of a two-night stand. All four members played as great individual musicians, but never once seemed like a cohesive band. Lacking stage-presence, they worked through their songs that went from anthemic to poppy then gloomy, while all along being quite melodic. Unfortunately, most of these songs were boring and neither the band nor the audience worked up much of a sweat. Hopefully, after more touring and lots of shows both LaGuardia and their audience will connect. However, on this show they didn’t. -Brendan McMahon
